“This isn’t my first chapter — it’s my most intentional one. Rooted in truth, shaped by experience, and built to last.”
About The Woman Behind It All
Hi, I am JC, a Midwest mom with a new blogging passion.
“They say the world is your oyster. Turns out, so is this chapter of my life— and I’ve learned what actually gets my appetite going.”
Middle age has a funny way of stripping things down to what actually matters. I’m over 40, raising teenagers, living in a second marriage, and finally learning how to love myself without asking for permission.
I married young, stayed too long, and spent years in survival mode, thinking that was just part of being a good woman. Add fertility struggles, loss, and the pressure of maternal timeclock, and I became very good at numbing myself and calling it strength. I told myself endurance was love. It wasn’t — but it taught me a lot. I learned. I forgave. I moved on.
“Some roads are rough for a reason — they leave you bruised, wiser, and better balanced.”
The Rekindle Room exists because I know how lonely that middle space can feel. It’s for women who planned on the Brady Bunch life only to have landed somewhere closer to Roseanne. We talk about real bodies, real desire, real messes, and real growth.
Rekindling isn’t about chasing your twenties. It’s about realizing you still get to want things — emotionally, physically, intimately. It’s about dropping the shame, questioning the rules, and deciding what actually feels good now. This is a season of honesty and fully showing up — no faking, no shrinking, no settling.
You’re allowed to want more.
